A happy pair of sparrows lived in a beautiful nest on a banyan tree, eagerly awaiting the hatching of their eggs. One scorching afternoon, a wild elephant crazed by the heat ran through the forest. In his reckless arrogance, he shook the banyan tree violently, breaking the branch holding the nest. The eggs shattered, leaving the mother sparrow heartbroken and weeping bitterly.
The Clever Alliance
Hearing her cries, her friend the woodpecker arrived. He consoled her and suggested they seek help to punish the elephant. They recruited a clever fly and a wise frog. Together, the four small creatures hatched a brilliant, coordinated plan. 'Even the mighty can be defeated if the weak stand together,' the frog assured them.
Justice Served
The next day, the fly buzzed a soothing melody into the elephant's ear, causing him to close his eyes in delight. Instantly, the woodpecker pecked his eyes, blinding him. Thirsty and panicked, the elephant stumbled around until he heard the frog croaking near a deep pit. Thinking it was a lake, the elephant rushed toward the sound, fell into the pit, and met his downfall.
