The Last Hope of Lanka

The great war between Rama and Ravana had gone on for many days. Ravana’s bravest sons, including the mighty Indrajit, and his strongest brothers had all fallen in battle. His armies were almost defeated.

Inside his golden palace, Ravana sat on his throne, furious and heartbroken. His ministers whispered in fear. Ravana knew it was time for him to lead the war.

“If you want something done right, you must do it yourself!” he roared.

Wearing shining armor and his many crowns, Ravana marched out of the gates of Lanka. His ten heads looked fearsome, and he held weapons that flashed like lightning. His footsteps shook the ground!

The moment Rama saw Ravana, he stood in front of him, ready with his bow. The final and greatest battle was about to begin!

Vibhishana’s Secret

The clash between Rama and Ravana was fierce! Arrows flew like shooting stars. Rama’s arrows cut off Ravana’s heads — but to everyone’s shock, new heads grew back immediately!

The army of monkeys and bears gasped. Hanuman said, "How can we defeat someone who never gets hurt?"

Vibhishana came running towards Rama. Vibhishana was Ravana’s brother but had joined Rama’s side because he believed that Ravana's kidnapping of Sita was wrong.

"O Rama," Vibhishana said urgently, "Ravana’s secret is hidden! His heads and arms are protected by magic. His true weakness is in his navel—his belly! That is where his life force rests. You must aim your strongest weapon there!"

Rama understood. He closed his eyes, prayed to the gods, and called forth a powerful weapon: the Brahmastra — a glowing arrow gifted to him by Sage Agastya.

Victory of Goodness

The sky turned golden as Rama placed the Brahmastra on his bow. Birds stopped flying. The wind became still. Even Ravana paused, sensing something different.

Rama pulled the bowstring back with all his might. He took careful aim — at Ravana’s navel — and released the Brahmastra.

WHOOSH! The arrow shot forward, shining like a thousand suns.

It struck Ravana exactly where Vibhishana had said. A great boom echoed across the land. Ravana's many crowns tumbled down, and with a cry that shook the mountains, the mighty king of Lanka fell. Ravana was finally killed.

The skies brightened. The earth sighed in relief. Flowers rained down from the heavens. Rama had won — not just with strength, but also with his wit.

Rama and Sita were reunited at last. The dark chapter of Lanka was over. Vibhishana was crowned as the new King of Lanka. Rama, Lakshmana and Sita made preparations to head back to Ayodhya - their exile was finally over.
