The Traveller and the Tiger
Listen to the Story
What would you do if a dangerous animal asked for your help?

The Unexpected Encounter
A weary traveller was walking through a dense forest when he came across a tiger trapped in a deep pit. The tiger looked up with sad, pleading eyes.
"Please help me!" the tiger called out. "I am trapped and will die if you do not rescue me."
The traveller hesitated, knowing tigers were dangerous predators. But the tiger spoke softly, "If you help me out of this pit, I promise I will not harm you. I will be forever grateful and become your friend." Moved by compassion and the tiger's desperate plea, the traveller found a long, strong branch and carefully helped the tiger climb out of the pit.

The Betrayal
The moment the tiger was free, everything changed. "I am hungry," the tiger growled, turning towards the traveller, "and you look like a perfect meal!" The shocked traveller couldn't believe his ears. The tiger was breaking his promise immediately, preparing to attack the very person who had just saved his life.
Just as the tiger was about to attack, a wise jackal happened to pass by. The traveller quickly explained the entire situation - how he had rescued the tiger from the pit, and how the tiger now wanted to eat him. The jackal listened carefully.

The Clever Test
"Let me understand this clearly," said the jackal. "You were truly trapped in this pit?"
The tiger nodded eagerly.
"Show me exactly how you were trapped," the jackal requested.
When the tiger, excited to prove his point, jumped back into the pit to demonstrate his previous predicament, the jackal quickly turned to the traveller.
"Run!" the jackal whispered urgently. "Now is your chance!" The traveller didn't hesitate. He quickly ran away from the pit, leaving the tiger trapped once again. The wise jackal had saved him from certain death, proving that not all kindness is repaid with gratitude.
As the traveller caught his breath at a safe distance, he learned a powerful lesson about trusting those who quickly break their promises.
